Professor Susannah Quinsee
Professor Susannah Quinsee is responsible for the strategic leadership of the digital offer and wider student experience. This includes leading improvements to our educational approaches together with our need for a Digital Vision to support a transformed student experience.
Overview
Other project areas include delivery of our educational offer post-pandemic, digital education, programme and curriculum design, student attainment, student support and staff development. Her senior team include the leaders of Library Services and Learning Enhancement and Development, Digital Education, as well as working closely with colleagues in Student Experience and Academic Services and across the Schools. Susannah is a Lego Serious Play facilitator and uses this in many aspects of her work.
Previously, Susannah was Director of Learning Development and Chair in Learning and Teaching Development at the University.
Susannah has worked as a lecturer and in academic support roles at a number of other higher education institutions in the UK as well as leading on large scale institutional change projects. She has considerable experience in the areas of online learning, student support, implementing learning and teaching strategies and project management in relation to higher education.
In 2017, she was appointed as a Learning and Teaching Excellence Ambassador by the Higher Education Academy to promote educational development. In 2011, Susannah was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship.
Susannah’s current research focuses on playful leadership and change management.
She has undertaken consultancy work for other Universities and national agencies including the Centre for Excellence in Leadership and the Leadership Foundation, now part of AdvanceHE.
