
Dr Tom Chatfield
An Oxford-educated philosopher, BBC broadcaster, and author of ten internationally translated books on critical thinking. As Duologue's pedagogical lead, he provides the intellectual framework at the platform's core.
Overview
Dr Tom Chatfield is a British author, tech philosopher and broadcaster. His ten books exploring digital culture and human skills —most recently Wise Animals (Picador) and the best-selling textbook Critical Thinking (Sage Publishing) —are published in over thirty languages. He's also an award-winning novelist.
Tom is particularly interested in critical thinking, AI and future skills. He is currently an Honorary Visiting Fellow at City St George's; a member of the British Library Advisory Council and an Associate at the interdisciplinary think-tank Perspectiva.
Tom took his doctorate and taught at St John’s College, Oxford, and continues to guest lecture at universities across Europe and America. A launch columnist for the BBC’s worldwide technology site, BBC Future, Tom is a regular on BBC radio and television, and broadcasts around the world.
